New Change

I am really not sure where I am at in the process. Last Friday the scale said 165 and that was a needle scale. I like that scale much better because the digital scale said 170. Its either 22lbs all together or 17lbs. I really don’t know which one to trust but, I can tell you that I have lost 8 inches total and 4% of body fat so I am not complaining about that stupid scale.

Is there anyone out there on a calorie restrictive diet that is experiencing mood swings and constant fatigue? I can’t seem to stay awake or I get so wound up and come crashing down around 3:00 and I have to force myself to the gym after work. My blood sugars are way off and I don’t know how to balance it out with foods just yet. I guess it just takes a lot of getting used to and figuring out how your body works.

I met with a really great nutritionist that had a history of weight problems and she had great advice and a program that I am going to try and see if it helps me get control of my blood sugar levels to balance out my nutritional intake. She looks phenomenal so advice from her should be pretty legit after reading her story. http://www.venicenutritionamyhenry.com/
I never knew how to balance out your carbohydrate, protein, and fat intake through out the day so that you don’t hit a crash mid day and your body wants to over load on food at night. I was just making sure I don’t eat bad foods with lots of calories. It may be working on my body structure but, it’s not worth feeling like this everyday. I will be starting her program in a few days once I get situated in my new place.

Jason and I decided to move in together and start planning for our future together. We move in this weekend and we both are really excited about our change in pace. Well we all know what a 27 year old will hope for next. J

I am still going to the gym 4 – 5 days a week and changing up my routines and trying to take more advanced classes. So far I love my life right now and I can’t wait to see more results with out the headaches and fatigue.

Hey girl...
You can do this.
It's all you! I lost about 40lbs over 2 years, and went from 165 to 125... You've got it in the bag. The second you STOP being hard on yourself the easier it gets.

Cut yourself some slack and get this book:
How To Eat Like A Hot Chick

Hey! I ran into your blog through the Q100 website!

I haven't been able to read through all your blogs but it's awesome you've already lost so much!

I lost about 15 pounds a few years ago and I've been able to keep it off! (Sorry if I'm repeating things you already know or do!) I cut out most sugars (candy, etc), all soda (water only) and started eating more often during the day with smaller portions. This last bit I picked up from another friend and I totally thought who has time to figure out 5 or 6 smaller meals?? But my answer came in a Kashi granola bar. If I was in between meals or hungry say an hour or two before I was supposed to meet up with friends I would just eat a Kashi granola bar. I think they are more of the healthy kind of bar. Anyways it worked! Once a month I would eat a not so healthy meal just so I wouldn't go mad...

I think once you get used to eating smaller portions and your body adjusts to getting the right kind of energy you'll be amazed at how much we overeat! It's crazy because you think "oh just a little bit more" but that all adds up so quickly.

Good Luck girl... you totally got this in the bag... you'll look and feel fabulous whether or not you hit your target weight and maybe you'll be already in shape to get married! :)

I think what you're doing is terrific. I've lost 50lbs in about two years, so I know about the cravings and self loathing when you eat something you shouldn't. You mentioned trying a nutritionist. How's that working for you? I have about 20 lbs to go and my body has hit a plateau. I'd be willing to try something different. Keep up the great work!

I worked with Amy Henry (mentioned above) through Venice Nutrition. The program and my coaching with Amy changed my life. I love 25lbs and have more energy then ever before. the best part is that I never crave sugar or sweets. It really was life changing.
